Job Description:
Technical Leader
As our Technical Leader, you will drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of key projects while mentoring a growing engineering team.
You will balance hands-on technical leadership (60%) with people and project management (40%), ensuring our technology scales effectively and empowers teams to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Strategy & Architecture
• Define and drive the technical roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Lead architectural design for high-traffic systems (1M+ daily visits).
• Review code, establish engineering best practices, and ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.
• Solve complex technical challenges across backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations.
• Stay updated with modern technologies and introduce tools/frameworks to improve team efficiency.
2. Collaboration & Product Alignment
• Work closely with the Product Owner to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Operations, Business) to align priorities and manage expectations.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
3. Team Leadership & Delivery
• Mentor, coach, and inspire software engineers and testers.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.
• Oversee project delivery: define timelines, manage risks, and ensure smooth execution.
Job Requirement:
Must-Have Technical Skills
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a Lead or Architect role.
• Strong expertise in backend development, web technologies, and databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and scalable architectures.
• Solid understanding of system design, microservices and monolithic architectures, and high-performance web applications.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale platforms, preferably high-traffic systems.
Must-Have Leadership & Soft Skills
• Strong people management skills, including mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Effective stakeholder management with the ability to align technical direction with business priorities.
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business impact.
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Growth mindset with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and experiment.
