Second-Line Support and Collective Responsibility
At Grasshopper, our engineers are crucial in providing second-line support for the systems they write. This means taking ownership of system performance, actively addressing post-deployment issues, and troubleshooting any technical challenges.
Additionally, during upgrades and new deployments, our engineers take on first-line support responsibilities, ensuring a seamless transition and promptly resolving any issues that may arise during critical phases.

Projects you might work on:
At Grasshopper, our Software Engineers are involved in a wide range of exciting projects, including but not limited to:
- Efficient processing of market data to provide real-time insights for trading decisions
- Efficient routing of orders to optimise trade execution and minimise latency
- Building efficient frameworks and tooling for algorithmic trading strategies
- Developing tools to manage and track risk exposure in trading operations properly
- Exploring and implementing innovative solutions to tackle various challenges in electronic trading
- 2 - 4 years of deep expertise in C++
- Proficiency in Python
- Communicate well in English - 4 skills. All tests, interviews will be in English
- Experience in low latency or high throughput environments
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- The ability to write clean code
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
* Working hours: 9am to 6pm – Mon to Fri.
* Hybrid working enviroment (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). You will be required to work in our HCM office.
* 13th month salary.
* Joining SHUI (Social insurance (SI); Health insurance (HI) and Unemployment insurance (UI)) in and after the probation time. SHUI is contributed based on actual salary.
* Full salary in probation time (6 months contract). Each party can terminate the 6 months contract at any time). SHUI is paid.
* Be qualified to join ESOP after 2 years.

- 6 days of paid childcare leave per year, regardless of the number of children you have (With Grasshopper for at least 1 year).
- Only be applicable for employees with children below 7 years old.
* Marriage Leave.
* Maternity/Paternity leave: based on Labour law.
* Compassionate Leave: An eligible employee is entitled to an additional 3 days given for compassionate leave. Eligibility requirements: Passing on of family members - Spouse, Children, Siblings, Parents & Parents-in-law, Grandparents & Grandparents-in-law. Granted once per bereavement.
