EasyRx is an innovative US healthcare technology company revolutionizing how patients access prescription medications through local pharmacies.
Skills:
Role Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer whose primary ownership is our React Native customer app (iOS + Android), and who can also contribute to our Next.js web applications.
You'll take a released app to the next level: shipping features, managing store releases, and keeping everything compliant with US healthcare (HIPAA) requirements.
Location: Hybrid (team based in Đà Nẵng and HCMC)
Employment: Full-Time
Level: Senior (6-8 years)
Start: As soon as possible
Primary Responsibilities — Mobile (~80%)
- Own, develop, and maintain the EasyRx patient app in React Native for iOS and Android
- Manage the end-to-end release process: builds, versioning/build labels, App Store Connect and Google Play submissions, feature flags, staged rollouts, and rollbacks
- Implement and maintain push notifications, deep linking, in-app payments, telehealth video flows, and subscription management
- Ensure the app meets HIPAA/PHI requirements — keep PHI out of logs, crash reports, and third-party SDKs; vet SDKs for BAA suitability
- Keep the app current with OS/store requirements (e.g., target the latest required Android API level) and diagnose device-specific iOS/Android issues; profile and optimize performance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to mobile architecture decisions
Secondary Responsibilities — Web (~20%)
- Contribute to our Next.js web frontend (marketing website + internal/pharmacy portals) alongside the web developer
- Build responsive, cross-browser UI and integrate RESTful APIs from our Ruby on Rails backend
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following team standards
Required Qualifications (Must-Have)
- 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience
- 4+ years React Native with production apps shipped to both the App Store and Google Play
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React fundamentals
- Hands-on ownership of mobile release management (signing, store submission, versioning)
- Able to read and contribute to a React/Next.js web codebase
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data
- Git; strong problem-solving; attention to detail
- Proficient in English; able to work independently in a remote environment across time zones
Nice-to-Have
- Production Next.js experience
- Healthcare/HIPAA or fintech/PCI compliance exposure
- Expo/EAS, Fastlane, native module authoring; CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
- Testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Detox), Sentry, AWS
- Experience in a startup environment
